Signal Sources

In the world of Test and Measurement, Signal Sources are viewed as one of the major categories of instruments which produce reference signals for other devices. There is a great variety of signal types, such as digital, analog, modulation, noise, pulse, and so on. Each signal type has specific characteristics such as time, frequency or amplitude.

The most fundamental signal is the sine wave. However, in many cases, other signals are needed for different applications: square waves for digital systems, modulation signals and noise for communication systems, pulse signals for radar, or arbitrary waveforms for special applications. A typical signal generator, known as a function generator, creates sine, square and triangle waves.

Sweeya currently has three series of function / arbitrary waveform generators, the SDG800, SDG1000, and the SDG5000. Each of these generators uses advanced DDS digital frequency synthesis technology to produce high quality standard function and arbitrary waveform signals. They also provide a variety of analog and digital modulation functions. The SDG800 and SDG5000 series provides a high stability output, with low jitter, allowing extremely small duty cycles, along with a wide range of pulse widths and edge times.

SDG800 Series

The SDG800 series function/arbitrary waveform generator family output frequencies up to 5MHz (pulse), 10MHz (square), 30MHz (sine) and have a sampling rate of 125MSa/s. They use the SIGLENT EasyPulse technology which produces low jitter, fast rising/falling edges without being affected by frequency, even at low duty cycle settings, allowing the user a wide range of pulse widths and transition times. This results in a much more versatile generator than other similar DDS designs.

SDG 1000 Series

The SDG1000 series of high-performance function/arbitrary waveform generators use direct digital synthesis (DDS) technology and can generate accurate, stable, clean and low distortion output signals. It provides fast rising and falling edge square waves up to 25MHz. The SDG1000 series provides a user-friendly graphical interface that can help you complete tasks faster and greatly improve your work efficiency. It has dual-channel output and each channel can output waveforms up to 50MHz (Sine Wave).

SDG 5000 Series

SDG 5000 Series are invented with a pulse generator algorithm EasyPulse, which is applied to the featured SDG5000 waveform generators at present. Based on this new technology, SDG5000 is capable of generating a pulse signal with low jitter, fast rising and falling edge (frequency independent effect), small duty cycle, edge and pulse width can be a wide range of adjustment.
